For the BMW Group IT, Bureau Nuts developed a unique spatial concept: The Future Lab at the Digital Campus in Munich. Our mission? To design an innovation space that makes digitalization tangible, creates room for collaboration, and clearly signals: This space allows for thinking outside the box.

Here, modern spatial design meets cutting-edge technology. The Future Lab is an interactive showroom, a co-creation platform, and a dynamic venue for workshops, networking and events. Designed for BMW Group IT, the space welcomes all employees and their partners to engage with tomorrow’s digital solutions.

At the heart of the Future Lab lies an interactive innovation space where digital technologies aren’t just shown – they’re experienced. Thanks to immersive media tech, a flexible layout, and curated storytelling, digital transformation becomes a hands-on journey.

A standout example: The interactive Future Computing Dashboard, which we developed in close collaboration with the BMW Group IT team. It makes complex topics like high-performance computing or crash simulations easy to understand – even for non-tech audiences.

An outstanding innovation space needs more than just great design – it has to be functional, too. That’s why we created the Future Lab with a flexible spatial concept that can easily adapt to different formats: Workshops, idea sprints, product demos or casual meetups – anything is possible.

Mobile furniture, breakout zones, and modular architecture make the space dynamic and ready for whatever’s next. And it’s not just for internal use: The Future Lab opens its door to external guests like startups, universities, and tech partners. A real place of exchange and co-creation beyond corporate boundaries.

The Future Lab also makes one thing very clear: Here is a space to think differently – and show it. The design breaks away from traditional corporate aesthetics and creates an environment that signals: This is where fresh thinking happens.
